A simple box is often a better choice than rebinding. This is especially true for rare volumes. It protects the book from light and dust — two of the most harmful elements in a book's environment. The materials used at Praxis Bindery are archival quality; binders’ board, cloth and paper. Our standard boxes all have a leather label on the spine stamped in 22k gold. To make the boxes special they can be created with a rounded spine, covered with leather and tooled in gold to look like a book when standing on your library shelf.
